Bee’s Wraps: A Product Review
THE ECO-FRIENDLY, EASY TO USE, AND BEAUTIFUL ALTERNATIVE TO PLASTIC FOR FOOD STORAGE!
As an environmentalist and mindful living enthusiast- I am constantly plagued by the plastic problem facing our planet. So naturally, I cringe at the thought of using plastic bags, wrap and containers. However, what other options do we have?
Yes, there are alternatives, but they also have their flaws. Butcher paper is biodegradable but not reusable. Aluminum foil is recyclable and reusable, but it does not provide much of a shelf life and it takes 400 years to decompose. That means that the foil used to wrap up Grandma’s potato salad, it’s still around here somewhere. Did I also mention it’s a neurotoxin linked to Alzheimers? So that leaves us with plastic bags and containers, available for our use in nauseating abundance. I understand the convenience and purpose of plastic, but I don’t appreciate unnecessary exposure to hormone disrupting chemicals like Phthalates and BPA. They are contaminating our food, the air we breathe, our life-giving waterways and our bodies. So what can we do?
Well, all I can say is thank goodness for the (occasional) all-consuming Instagram vortex I entered when I discovered, Bee’s Wrap, Food Storage. My beautiful solution to plastic pollution that has solved all of my food storage frustrations!
I love my Bee’s Wraps, allow me count the ways:
The average family wastes hundreds of dollars using up to 1000 plastic bags and 24 rolls of plastic wrap a year. Scientists estimate that 12,000 metric tons of plastic garbage will enter a landfill near you by 2050. Clearly the pervasive plastic problem facing our planet is daunting- but it also puts us in a position to change our ways on a personal level. Using eco-friendly Bee’s Wrap is one change we can make to have a positive impact on reducing our reliance on single use disposables. Each wrap will last up to a year, and once they lose the ability to stick, they are compostable. Lovely!
They are washable, reusable and have endless uses. I use Bee’s Wraps to cover bowls, wrap sandwiches and to transport healthy snacks for adventures. I love using them to seal baked goods for ultimate freshness. Bee’s Wraps are also fantastic for preserving juice, smoothies and sauces in your refrigerator. I am sure I will continue to find new ways to use this beautiful, sustainable alternative to plastic. Awesome!
SUSTAINABLE AND STYLISH
Did I mention these Bee’s Wraps are gorgeous? I never imagined I would get so many compliments on my sandwich bag! Not only are we reducing our impact on the planet, but we are doing it in style. WINNING! Wraps come in a plethora of unique colors and patterns– if you are like me, the only problem you will have is choosing which one you like the best!
For me, nothing is as beautiful as a business that gives-back. I love that Bee’s Wrap, Sustainable Food Storage supports education, community, and they partner with like-minded organizations to benefit ocean conservancy, beach clean-ups and water stewardship.
